Emerald Ash borer is a significant threat to Ash trees in Colorado. Rapidly spreading, this pest threatens to kill millions of ash trees along the Front Range if action isn’t taken immediately. Tree Services
Filmed at Stone Creek Ranch. 100+ foot Cottonwood overtop of a 150-year-old farmhouse. It was -2 degrees when we arrived. There was no way to get a crane into the area, so it had to be manually rigged out. There was absolutely zero room for error. The crew buckled down and were able to pull it off without incident.
With the picturesque views on the ranch, the sub-freezing temperatures, and the importance of the historical farmhouse it ranks at the top of one of the coolest days I’ve had in my career.

The Importance of Pruning Your Trees
As an arborist, I often tell homeowners that pruning is one of the most valuable—and most misunderstood—forms of tree care. Many people assume that because trees grow naturally in forests without intervention, the same should apply in a residential landscape. But your yard is not a forest, and your trees face very different conditions.

The Best Trees to Plant in Colorado Yards
Planting a tree in Colorado is an investment that can last generations. Whether it’s for shade, privacy, beauty, or to increase property value, the tree you choose today will shape your yard—and your neighborhood—for decades. "Wonderful service, and very professional. They arrived promptly and were careful to confirm exactly how I wanted the trees trimmed. The workers did a great job of ensuring that branches didn't fall on any other plants in the yard. After the trees were trimmed they cleaned the entire area beautifully and even cut down an extra dead tree on my property. I would highly recommend Great Western Tree Care!"~ Wendy Weiss

"I highly recommend this company for honesty, diligence, and hard working, employees and owner. Morgan, Kyle, and Nathan, removed two 25 foot blue spruces by our front door and did it without a problem. They were very professional and friendly while doing their work. They didn't harm any of the existing plantings and after cleaning up, one wouldn't have known they were there - except the trees were gone!"

"Chad and his team showed up on time and had very skilled crew members that took down our very large pine tree that was only a few feet from our house. Morgan, Chris and Cody worked really good together to complete the job for us. Chad had another crew close by and had them come over to remove deadwood from three other trees in the yard that I requested. Thanks Great Western Tree Care! We will use you next time."~ Lance Stevens
